Pink and Green Kota Doria Hand Woven Saree
The Kota Doria Saree is characterized by a distinct square pattern of checks. It is mostly practiced by the Ansari Weavers’ community, over three fourth of the weavers are women. They are primarily dependent on weaving and ancillary work for their livelihood. The village’s name Doria is derived from the languages and lexicons used by groups within this community, which include Marwari, Sindhi and Punjabi.
